You don’t have to be in crisis to come to therapy. Many of my clients come because they’re carrying something quietly, and they’re tired of carrying it alone.
You’re exhausted from explaining your identity — your gender, your sexuality, your brain — to people who should already understand.
You’ve spent years wondering why things that come easily to others feel so difficult for you. You’re starting to think it might be ADHD, or something similar.
You’ve had therapy before, but it felt like you had to shrink parts of yourself to fit the space being offered.
You feel like a lot — too much for some people, not enough for others. You want somewhere that can hold all of it.
You’re navigating coming out, transition, or identity, and you need someone who actually gets it — not someone who’s just read about it.
You want to understand yourself better. Not to fix what’s wrong, but to make sense of what’s going on.
My areas of focus

LGBTQ+ Affirming Counselling
As a Trans/Non‑Binary counsellor, I know what it means to navigate a world that wasn’t built with you in mind. In our sessions, your identity is never the problem we’re solving. You are whole. We work from there.
Whether you’re questioning your gender or sexuality, working through coming out at any stage of life, processing the impact of family rejection or religious trauma, or simply tired of the mental load that comes with being LGBTQ+ in a world that still makes it harder than it should be — this is a space that is genuinely for you.
I can help with:
- Exploring gender identity and sexuality
- Coming out — at any age, at any stage
- Minority stress and internalised shame
- Family rejection and relationship difficulties
- Healing from religious or conversion trauma
- Gender dysphoria and gender euphoria
- Trans and non‑binary experiences

ADHD and Neurodivergent Support
I have my own lived experience with ADHD. That matters. It means I won’t look confused when you describe the way your brain works. I won’t suggest you just make a to‑do list.
Whether you’ve recently received a diagnosis, are waiting for one, or simply recognise yourself in what ADHD looks like — you belong here. We don’t need a formal diagnosis to start. We just need to understand what’s happening for you.
I can help with:
- Recently diagnosed ADHD in adulthood
- Undiagnosed ADHD or awaiting assessment
- Autistic adults and those exploring autism
- Emotional dysregulation and overwhelm
- Low self‑esteem and imposter syndrome
- ADHD burnout and masking
- Relationships, work, and daily life challenges
About Alex
I've spent years working with people who felt like they didn't quite fit. I know that feeling well.
Hi, I’m Alex — a Trans/Non‑Binary, BACP‑registered integrative counsellor. I have a particular passion for working with LGBTQ+ individuals and neurodivergent people, especially those with ADHD, because these are communities I belong to, not just communities I’ve studied.
I’m a qualified Integrative counsellor, which means I draw on several different therapeutic approaches depending on what you need. Some of the work we do might explore earlier experiences. Some might focus entirely on right now. I follow your lead.
I don’t have an agenda. I’m here to offer you a space that is genuinely non‑judgmental, where you can think out loud, feel what you need to feel, and — when you’re ready — start to understand yourself a little more clearly.
